Feedback on Research Presentation, 7th November 2023 - Katie
- Don't just read your notes, attempt to memorise what you're going to say. This stops you from falling over your words, losing your place and getting stressed out about your stumbles.
- Practise more so that we don't go overtime.
- Arrangement of text on Slide 2 is awkward.
- Use a simpler typeface.
- Aim was to the point, but the use imagery is awkward.
- Don't use clip art-- it makes your presentation look less professional.
- Don't use an image of a smartwatch-- use a bracelet or wristband to expand the viewer's idea of what the prototype could look like instead of making assumptions.
- The layout of Slide 7 through 9 is awkward. It makes it harder to understand the information being displayed.
- Expand on our objectives.
- Don't call it our final "pitch"-- it's our final "presentation."
- We need to be specific and to the point about we plan to do when we discuss our Next Step.
- Two areas of research that we didn't look at that are relevant when we start developing prototypes:
- Haptic Technology
- UX and UI Design
