Feedback on Research Presentation, 7th November 2023 - Katie

  • Don't just read your notes, attempt to memorise what you're going to say. This stops you from falling over your words, losing your place and getting stressed out about your stumbles.
  • Practise more so that we don't go overtime.
  • Arrangement of text on Slide 2 is awkward.
  • Use a simpler typeface.
  • Aim was to the point, but the use imagery is awkward.
  • Don't use clip art-- it makes your presentation look less professional.
  • Don't use an image of a smartwatch-- use a bracelet or wristband to expand the viewer's idea of what the prototype could look like instead of making assumptions.
  • The layout of Slide 7 through 9 is awkward. It makes it harder to understand the information being displayed.
  • Expand on our objectives.
  • Don't call it our final "pitch"-- it's our final "presentation."
  • We need to be specific and to the point about we plan to do when we discuss our Next Step.
  • Two areas of research that we didn't look at that are relevant when we start developing prototypes:
    • Haptic Technology
    • UX and UI Design
